Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Outreaches to, and continues to follow up with employers on behalf of job seekers to secure optimal job placement
- Implements recruiting and job development processes and initiatives
- Assesses jobseekers’ skills and suitability for referral to available job openings
- Assists in the facilitation of employability skills and resume review tailored to specific job openings
- Screens applicants, provides job leads and details employers’ needs and skills set required for current openings
- Counsels, motivates and encourages job seekers in advancing employment, training and retention goals, and provides support in resolving issues that may impede successful job placement
- Monitors and communicates assigned caseloads of job seekers’ performance and progress with assigned Career Advisor, supervisor and business services team
- Makes suggestions for improvement to the team
- Communicates with Business Services Representatives regarding all postings and openings
- Builds and coordinates a pipeline of qualified job seekers through recruitment events
- Plans, implements, and tracks outcomes of customized recruitment events to meet the specific needs of each employer
- Facilitates and presents workshops and information sessions for jobseekers
- Partners with local organizations and companies to refer candidates to open positions, OJT’s and potential Work Experiences for clients
- Documents clients progress and contacts through consistent case notes
- Communicates with training providers regarding their training programs, participants’ progress, advocacy for participants, and connecting to their placement officers for training related employment assistance
- Reaches weekly and quarterly target measurements
- Tracks progress for weekly reports and completes required reports as it pertains to program operations
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements
- Two years of professional experience in recruiting, sales, account management or a related business relationship management capacity
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Bilingual ability a plus
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation required
