PROJECT SCOPE:

  • Candidate will be working on a new project surrounding IT Service Ownership from respective IT Organizations.
  • Candidate will be responsible for engaging groups to facilitate the identification and/or define Service Ownership and Service expected outcomes.
  • Candidate will be responsible for documentation and of data obtain and generating plans for ongoing maintenance.
  • Candidate will accountable for engagement of design and implementation of new Service Taxonomy; as well as educating Service Owners.

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for technology specialists who is a creative problem solver for the Tech & Business Consultant position.
  • IT Consultants are responsible for implementing technological solutions to solve business problems, creating a schedule for analysis, implementation and testing of technology and working with in-house technical teams to ensure consistency of use, among other duties.
  • IT Consultants will communicate technical instructions in understandable business terms and produce technical user manuals, requiring exceptional interpersonal and communicative ability.

Essential Functions:

  • Define Service Definitions for our Catalog of Services
  • Negotiating and Documenting Service Level Agreements.
  • Makes use of a catalogue of available services and provides feedback to the service portfolio team on the performance of service components.
  • Diagnoses service problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
  • Establishes and maintains operational methods, procedures and facilities in assigned area of responsibility and reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Monitors performance, collects performance data and investigates problems.
  • Resolves or escalates problems. Implements service improvement actions.
  • Leads project utilizing improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, industrial engineering) to deliver business results aligned to operational objectives.
  • Serves as a process improvement consultant on large scale project involving people, process, and technology changes.
  • Recommends, implements, integrates and manages changes based on product complexities and changing market place conditions including Health Care Reform.
  • Analyzing a company’s IT system and infrastructure.
  • Diagnosing IT system problems, inefficiencies and weaknesses.
  • Planning a timeline for completion of projects.
  • Understanding a client’s business needs.
  • Implementing a technological solution to meet business needs.
  • Analyzing and determining security threats.
  • Providing advice on technology best practices.
  • Collaborating with technical in-house team to ensure familiarity with technology.
  • Monitoring the success of IT solution.
  • Producing detailed reports on the efficacy of the technology.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong level of understanding with IT Service Management
  • Strong negotiation Skills
  • Experience with creating and negotiating Service Level Agreements
  • Experience with an ITSM Platform (BMC Remedy Helix/Service Now)
  • ITIL Certified
  • Proficiency with database languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • SME in consulting technology with proven implementation experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience as an Architect or consultant working on progressively complex business improvement projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or additional related equivalent work experience
  • Strong level of understanding with IT Service Management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with creating and negotiating Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Experience with an ITSM Platform (BMC Remedy Helix or Service Now)
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
