DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented IT Business Analyst Senior to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Cummins Emission Solutions in Stoughton, WI or Columbus IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Partner with business functions to define, determine, analyze, document and communicate the objectives, business requirements and priorities for information systems and solutions; works with application and technical experts on the solution design, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the information systems.
• Lead the effort, working with the business, to define and document what constitutes business success for medium to large size initiatives within a single organization.
• Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements across the five aspects (process, information, event, socio-political, and location), as appropriate for the large initiative. May either lead or work as part of a team to gather requirements.
• Lead or conduct requirements management activities, as necessary, ensuring that the impact of changes are well understood and approved by the appropriate stakeholders within the organization.
• Lead or conduct solution assessment and validation to ensure that functional and technical specifications meet the identified business needs within the organization.
• Review test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and participates in testing the solution to ensure the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements within the organization.
• Conduct problem analysis as needed. Escalate complex issues for additional analysis and resolution as appropriate. Act as a point of escalation for moderate to difficult problems.
• Develop positive relationships with both the business and other functions involved in downstream technical processes.
• May coach and mentor less experienced business analysts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is required. PTC Windchill experience is preferred.
• Experience with Engineering Function software such as CREO, CAD, Ansys, etc. is preferred.
• Experience in effectively communicating with remote users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
• Experience with integration’s and knowledge of integration patterns is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
