Full-Time IT Asset Manager

JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION
Responsible for asset management, hardware, software, and workstation procurement, contract management and negotiation, financial management and analysis, as well as vendor management for IT hardware, software, and services contracts. Focused on managing and continuing to improve processes for the enterprise IT Asset Management department at Blac k Knight.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintains an Enterprise IT Asset Management solution to ensure purpose and functionality closely aligns with business procedures, directions, and strategies.
* Coordinates all activities associated with entire life cycle of hardware and software assets and, in some cases, services.
* Generate procurement requisitions for end user IT hardware.
* Request quotes for end user hardware requests when necessary.
* Track requisition approvals through the procurement process.
* Provide support to end users when placing or approving end user IT hardware requests.
* Works with business partners to understand hardware and software necessary for each request and places orders in response to service or material requirements.
* Administers and controls expenses within approved budgetary guidelines.
* Ensures financial goals and objectives are achieved within area of responsibility.
* Provide metrics and track KPIs regarding equipment flow, deployment and receiving processes.
* Works to reduce overall budget expense by managing processes effectively and works with Finance to manage equipment reporting and reconciliation.
* Develops and maintains Black Knight workstation equipment standards and controls.
* Manages and maintains equipment classified as “Legal Hold” and manages general equipment disposal and function as the point of contact for disposal vendors.
* Lead projects and partner with outside groups, such as Enterprise Help Desk and End User IT Shared Services, to standardize equipment flow, inventory, and storage processes.
* Performs financial analysis for acquisition cost-effectiveness and inventory control processes.
* Oversees development and maintenance of tracking systems for hardware and software acquisition, including related services.
* Draws up budgetary requirements and oversees forecasting.
* May review and monitor IT contract performance and compliance and ensure contracts meet company requirements.
* May negotiate hardware licensing agreements, as well as planning for major hardware and software upgrades and changes.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Experience working in a corporate Asset Management department highly desired
* Experience with Asset Management Software and databases a plus
* Skilled in reporting or business intelligence tools such as Tableau a plus
* Experience with Sharepoint and building workflows within Sharepoint a plus
* Possesses solid project management skills of small and large projects in a cross-functional environment
* Skilled use of Microsoft Office package and related software applications
* Thorough understanding of the IT industry as well as demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical information
* Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner appropriate to audience including executive levels
* Knowledge of contract negotiation, financial management, and vendor relationship experience preferred
* Ability to understand and apply concepts
* Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
* Knows and understands business needs and has the ability to adapt changing technology to business needs
* Knowledge of workstation procurement and principles desired
* Ability to interact with internal clients and vendors at various levels regarding contractual agreements
* Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally as well as externally

IT ASSET MANAGER

Advanced managerial role. Manages the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to a smaller team within latitude of established company policies. May work with senior managers to recommend changes to policies and established procedures that affect the team. May work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to team members in meeting schedules and/or resolving problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements, and may have budget responsibilities. Experience with CMDB, Tableau, and HRIS Systems, preferred. Typically requires up to six (6) years of relevant experience in procurement or asset management (or other relevant technical experience) and at least three (3) years of leadership experience.
