Job Description
We are looking for a talented Sr International Tax Accountant to join our team specializing in International Tax in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Financial Regulations Acumen – Evaluates applicable regulations for the financial area of focus, such as tax, banking, pension, local accounting to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations; explains key requirements and purpose of regulations and implications to the business to inform and educate relevant stakeholders.
• Tax Technical Analysis – Leverages various tax technical resources by researching applicable regulations, tax code, and case law to ensure taxes recorded in compliance with regulation.
• Tax Based Modeling and Computation – Performs income tax provision computations, tax return calculations and tax modeling taking into account the relevant business facts and assumptions.
• Ensures accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
• Action oriented – Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• Communicates effectively – Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting preferred. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
• Assist the compute of Global Intangible Low Tax Income Effect (GILTI) on Cummins
• Coach and give guidance for W9/W8BENE/W8IMY form requests thru out the year
• Prepare advanced international tax returns and related schedules
• Maintains tax attributes for foreign entities in the OneSource Income Tax (OIT) platform
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
