The Department of Theatre and Dance invites applications for part-time semester instructors in theatre and dance with possible starting dates for fall semester 2021.
Teaching responsibilities may include: Introduction to Theatre, Introduction to Dance, Acting I, Stagecraft, Introduction to Singing Actor, Introduction to Ballet I, Introduction to Modern I, Design Awareness, and Introduction to Jazz, among others.
Successful candidates will be committed to teaching a variety of courses in a collaborative teaching environment within a rigorous training program. Additional opportunities may exist as an artist within our production season. All faculty in the College of Fine Arts are expected to be productive scholars, or as appropriate to the position, artists, and to engage in public service activities as well as teaching and scholarship or artistic and creative endeavors.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or Dance from an accredited institution completed by the date of employment. Significant professional experience within chosen discipline.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Theatre or Dance from an accredited institution completed by date of employment. At least one year of university or college teaching experience.
