Full-Time Indiana Donor Relations Manager
Job Description
The Nature Conservancy in Indiana is seeking a Donor Relations Manager (DRM) who’s passionate about fundraising to help convey TNC’s mission to diverse groups. They are responsible for the identification and qualification of major and planned gift prospects and assists in cultivating and soliciting donors through direct contact. They conduct initial exploratory meetings with donors and prospects to determine capacity for giving and move those capable of gifts of higher amounts to the prospect pool for management by senior fundraising staff and integration into the Moves Management process. The DRM will work on a variety of projects, events, and marketing materials to inspire and engage constituents; draft routine correspondence and acknowledgments; and use the Conservancy’s donor database to update donor information, produce reports, and track and cultivate donors. They identify the correct contacts to go to for information on gifts of assets; and effectively communicate or distribute information to assist staff in making decisions, solving problems, and improving workflow.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination. They will have experience with the principles and practices of fundraising, working across teams, and building relationships. Their background will include business writing and editing; generating reports and interpreting data; and event planning.
This is a full-time position based at our office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The estimated starting annual salary for this position is $54,000 and dependent on qualifications and experience.
