Starting Wage: $19.50+ per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Full Time, M-F 40 hours per week

As the human resources specialist, you will ensure the leaves management process runs smoothly and support in the administration of the benefits plan.

If hired for this position you will provide a great staff experience by providing support and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding leaves policies, employee benefits, the resolution of employee relations issues, HR related timelines, staff development, and more. You will handle the leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. You will maintain reasonable communication with employees to provide a great staff experience throughout the process.

In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments, assist with benefits orientations, and support the Benefits and Compensation Director in responding to benefits inquiries from managers and employees. You will also provide support and backup to the HR team as it relates to onboarding staff, supervision training, employee relations, and HR policies.

Are you a good fit?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent certification, training and experience.
  • You have 2-4 years of experience with HRIS systems (such as ADP or Kronos), leaves management, and benefit programs.
  • You have general knowledge of all HR competencies: recruitment, compensation, benefits & rewards, organizational development, performance management, leadership development, employee relations, and employment law.
  • You know how to give great customer service.
  • You are very proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • You are organized, proactive and know how to get things done.
  • You are able to maintain confidential information.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.
  • You have a professional Human Resources certification (preferred).
