ABOUT THE POSITION: The Human Resources (HR) Assistant is an important link to ensure quality services both internally and externally, by providing administrative support to the HR department. They are responsible for performing a variety of support duties including the maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) databases, employee records, and files, as well as recordkeeping and reporting. They provide employee information to authorized persons and assist employees on matters regarding HR forms, records, and procedures. The Assistant prepares documents and reports for various HR activities such as job offers, job advertisements, and exit paperwork. They execute on-boarding and off-boarding tasks with accuracy and consistency. LOCATION: South Lake Union Neighborhood (Seattle, WA) REPORTS TO: Senior HR Business Partner FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (with some flexibility to adjust and occasional remote work, with manager approval) SALARY RANGE: $17.50-22.50 per hour BENEFITS INCLUDED: Unlimited Orca Transportation Pass, Medical/Prescription/Vision, Dental, $500 Health Flexible Spending Account 4 Weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) & 11 Paid Holidays, Retirement Plan, Employee Assistance Program. QUALIFICATIONS - Associate degree is required, preferably with coursework in business administration, human resources, or related field. Or relevant work experience, certificate and/or equivalent continuing professional development or education.
- At least 1 year of experience working in an administrative support role, with emphasis on quality customer service, required.
- At least 1 year of data entry experience, ideally with proficiency and accuracy concerning high volumes of data, desired.
- Human Resources related education, work, and/or volunteer experience, desired.
- Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging with a commitment to racial and gender justice through a lens of transforming systems of oppression, desired.
- Familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.
