Starting Wage: $17.74+ per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part Time, 25 hours per week

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties follows PPE measures and physical distancing directives from state and local governments as part of the collective effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Work is ordinarily performed in an office environment, but may be performed remotely depending on health and safety requirements under the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the HR/payroll specialist, you will provide a great staff and member experience by supporting employees and managers with payroll-related matters and providing support to the HR and Payroll departments.
If hired for this position you will support semi-monthly payroll processing, enter payroll related changes for employees, provide support to the work-study program and minor work form process. You will provide support to human resources systems and data. You will also support the Learning and Development team by ensuring trainings are entered into the timekeeping system.

Are you a good fit?
- You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- You have an Associate’s Degree in payroll/accounting/finance or related field (preferred, but can be offset with a combination of some college and/or experience in payroll).
- You have 2-4 years of experience in a payroll system (such as ADP or Kronos preferred).
- You know how to give great customer service.
- You are organized, proactive and know how to get things done
- You are comfortable with computers, including practical application of MS Office suite, including Teams, and Zoom.
- You are proficient in Word and Excel.
- You have good time management skills.
- You have excellent attention to detail.
- You are able to maintain confidential information.
