Full-Time HR Generalist
Job Description
Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Human Resource Generalist for its Super Sagless Hardware branch in Tupelo, MS, which specializes in producing mechanisms for motion furniture such as recliners and rockers. In this role, you will report to the Human Resource Manager and will be responsible for pursuing department objectives and service all company functions through Human Resources activities.
So, what will you be doing as a HR Generalist?
- Provide HR support to all departments of the organization to achieve the business priorities and the HR strategic agenda
- Manage payroll and data entry
- Provide reports related to payroll, employment analysis, and others as requested
- Effectively communicate to employees on relevant topics regarding HR processes, main organizational changes, etc.
- Help coordinate employee related activities
- Provide support in assessment of the organization, making sure staff is set-up to be efficient and effective
- Follow labor and law regulation changes, updating processes to align
- Recruit, develop, and retain high performing and talented workforce
- Assist with administering accident investigations, workers’ compensation cases, and OSHA log
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- University degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of HR related work experience
- HR certification preferred
- Analytical mind and goal oriented
- Solid knowledge of labor legislation
- Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to build long term relationships and put effort in earning trust
- Effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Knowledge of OSHA, accident investigations, and State and Federal Labor Laws preferred
