Full-Time HR Coordinator
Job Description
This position is the main contact for HR matters related to HR administration and hourly recruiting for the assigned employee groups. The incumbent acts as a point person to SPX HR team members and candidates. The position is responsible for data entry and HR program administration. The data entry component includes entering all information for new hires, terminations, other employee changes andhourly recruiting into the HRIS system for all employees within the assigned group. In addition, the position is responsible for entering data into a separate system for new hire background checks, drug screens and E-Verify. The incumbent is responsible for tracking forms and spreadsheets related to HR programs. . The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail-oriented, handle confidential information in a sensitive manner, and work well with others. Additionally, the incumbent must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels throughout the organization.
ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
• Enter HR information (new hires, pay changes, terminations, hourly job requisitions and offers, etc.) into the HRIS system
• Maintain and update HR forms and policies as needed
• Responsible for Department of Homeland Security E-Verify website verifications
• Assemble new hire packets and ensure completion of all new hire paperwork
• Obtain drug screens and background checks for assigned employee group
• Act as HR point person for administrative details related to assigned employee group
• Administer termination process
• Create and maintain spreadsheets in order to track various types of employee data and HR forms
• Maintain and administer all databases relevant to assigned employee groups
• Complete hourly recruiting tasks such as posting positions, searching resumes, conducting phone screens and coordinating interviews for assigned positions.
• Assist with various HR projects as assigned
• Other administrative duties as assigned
• Responsible for all assigned locations
• Help maintain employee files
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR Certification preferred
• 1-3 years of HR experience preferred
• HRIS experience preferred
CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
• Strong knowledge of an HRIS system required
• Knowledge of HR law (FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred
• Strong attention to detail
