Full-Time Housing Case Manager – Domestic Violence
Job Description
Unity House of Troy is looking for a proactive and dedicated individual to fill a Housing Case Manager position within the Domestic Violence program. The incumbent must be a responsible individual with the ability to exercise a high level of understanding with confidentiality. The ability to be a strong advocate for the program and its clients. Responsibilities of this position include: providing victim-centered and trauma-informed case management services to victims of domestic violence.
Duties include providing support, safety planning, needs assessment, advocacy, accompaniment, referral and engaging in ongoing, regular interactions with clients in a manner that is in keeping with the agency mission and service philosophy. Additional duties include but are not limited to: completing compliance activities and producing reports.
Requirements: A college degree in a related field and/or previous experience working with victims of domestic violence or a similar population. Strong computer and documentation skills are also required. Must have reliable transportation, a valid New York State Driver License with an acceptable driving record as determined by our company’s liability insurance policy.
