Hourly Paid Lecturer – Silver Jewellery 

£24.97-£32.35 per hour, dependent on level of teaching qualification    

Various hours per week 

The working pattern is TBC 

Various weeks per annum 

Various Campus 

Fixed term 

We are inviting applications for a qualified and experienced Silver Jewellery tutor to join our inspirational team of Hourly Paid Lecturers. 

Oxfordshire Adult Learning is a large, award winning faculty of Abingdon and Witney College. We aim to maximise access to learning for adults in Oxfordshire, widening participation and transforming the health, social and economic wellbeing of individuals, families and their communities. 

Our provision is diverse and includes an extensive range of leisure learning courses, community learning, family learning and accredited courses which lead to recognised qualifications. Our courses are delivered at our College campuses in Abingdon, Witney and Kidlington, as well as in community venues such as village halls and within local schools. 

The Silver Jewellery courses will be taking place on; 

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings in Cheney School, Kidlington and Abingdon and Witney College. (6.30pm – 8.30pm)  

Saturday workshops x3, (10am – 4pm) will be taking place in Cheney School in the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms. 

You do not have to be a qualified teacher but must be knowledgeable and passionate about your subject area. OAL tutors relish seeing their learners gain confidence in a new discipline or rekindle the enjoyment of a past hobby. 

Tutors are responsible for planning courses, delivering inspiring lessons, keeping records of their learners’ progress and participating in development activities to enhance their own teaching, learning and assessment skills. The College offers tutors, new to teaching, a comprehensive staff development programme to support their journey in their role. Opportunities also exist to gain a recognised teaching qualification.
