The Health and Well-Being Program Coordinator provides administrative support to the Health and Well-being Department under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Director. Areas of responsibility include program development, supervision of staff in specific program area, and maintain program quality assurance.
Additional duties may include:
- Confidently lead members through health and well-being programs while demonstrating current safety guidelines.
- Identify and assist in the development of small groups and activities that help bring members together.
- Provide a clean and well-maintained wellness center.
- Assist members with fitness goals through motivation, instruction and support.
- Maintain tracking system of expenses and inventory needs.
Qualifications:
- One to two years related experience in teaching group exercise classes preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree OR two years related knowledge and experience preferred.
- Y-USA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and/or Y-USA Foundations of Group Exercise certifications or equivalencies such as; ACE, ASCM, AFAA, NETA.
- Knowledge of basic health and fitness principles and components, exercise prescription and strength training machines.
- Be able to set an excellent example in health, fitness and member service.
- General computer skills helpful.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
- Able to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online and in-person training as required.
Start Rate: $14.67+per hour – Depending on Experience
Hours: Part Time – 25 hours per week
