Guest Experience Coordinator
- Provide world class guest service to visitors and HQ employees, from answering questions (big and small) to offering local recommendations of things to do and see.
- Steward the HQ geocaches, ensuring that they are up-to-date and well maintained
- Support HQ merchandise program, including managing retail space and operating POS system
- Promote and enhance Geocaching HQ’s professional identity
- Edit, update, and manage visitor information systems and scheduling
- Collaborate with other departments on special initiatives and projects
- Act as the point person for administrative tasks related to Geocaching HQ’s reception area
- Manage and respond to requests for event donations and gifts
- Communicate regularly with geocachers across multiple channels, answering customer service questions
- Problem solve and herd cats, as required
- Passion for geocaching
- Proven ability to understand the big picture, while attending to the details to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly
- Ability to balance needs of the community and the business
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- High-level communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively
- Demonstrated ability to manage a project or task from beginning to end
- Proficiency with databases, web applications, and Google docs
- Eager to participate in and contribute to the geocaching community
- Leads by example and exemplifies Geocaching HQ’s values in actions and behaviors
- Maintains high level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion
- Is a self-motivated and self-directed individual focused on team accomplishments
- Is ready to “bring it” when faced with large challenges

- 1 to 3 years relevant experience
- Fluency in German, Dutch or French is a plus
