DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Global Retirement Administration Director to join our team specializing in Pension and 401k Administration for our Corporate Compensation and Benefits Team in Nashville, TN. This role is hybrid with, at minimum, quarterly trips to Nashville.

The Global Retirement Administration Director is a member of the Cummins Business Services (CBS) Retirement and Benefits Administration leadership team and reports directly to the Global Director of Employee Benefits Administration. This position has the primary responsibility for managing the daily activities of the pension and 401k administration team, implementing new processes and programs and providing input to the Corporate Compensation and Benefits Team on strategic planning related to all Cummins retirement plans. This position serves as the subject matter expert for these plans, ensures plan compliance and owns vendor relations accordingly.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manages designated plans or plan components ensuring compliance with plan design, company policies and governance and internal controls. Ensures compliance with all legislative and reporting requirements.
• Monitors benefit program administration effectiveness leads the design, delivery and monitoring of initiatives, processes and tools that enable the achievement of performance excellence in the design and delivery of employee benefits.
• Ensures resolution of complex issues and inquiries from employees, human resources, third party providers and other stakeholders.
• Develops and improves tools and processes to monitor effectiveness of benefits program delivery.
• Manages the delivery of benefit information and assistance to plan participants; ensures the accuracy and completeness of employee benefits plans, policies, and process documentation.
• Manages the implementation of plan and administration changes (union plans, M&A employee integration, executive retirement plans and transfers US and globally).
• Partners in the creation and delivery of training and information sessions for human resources and employees; partners in the development of communication materials for benefits enrollment and changes.
• Manages the performance of employee benefits providers; designs processes to monitor and improve performance.
• Monitors emerging market trends and changes in the regulatory environment and evaluates business needs of assigned programs.
• Serves in a global consultancy role for regional leaders
• Coaches and mentors benefits team members; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Eight to 10 years’ experience in a similar role with minimum of five years in managing teams.
• Previous experience with related benefit and defined contribution plans including ERISA, IRS and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
• Exposure to retirement plans outside the US is a plus.
• Customer focus – building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
• Collaborates – building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Education/Experience
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
