Job Overview
Wesco Prince George is looking for an experienced and proactive Gas Station Manager to lead our team and ensure the efficient operation of the gas station and convenience store. As the Gas Station Manager, you will play a key role in managing staff, optimizing sales, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
Staff Management: Oversee daily operations, manage a team of 5-10 staff members, and assign duties to ensure smooth operation.
Merchandise & Services: Determine the range of merchandise and services to be sold, optimizing offerings to meet customer needs.
Marketing & Promotions: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Plan budgets and monitor revenue, expenses, and profit margins to ensure financial targets are met.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and operational challenges.
Staff Recruitment & Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, ensuring adequate staffing and effective training.
Requirements
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in retail management, preferably within a gas station or convenience store setting.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
Location: This position requires on-site work at the Prince George location. Remote work is not an option.
Setting: Work in a convenience store and retail business environment, handling customer service, sales, and day-to-day operations.
