POSITION: Fundraising Events Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Board Management and Special Events
STATUS: Full-time, exempt

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate leadership in accordance with Lyric’s mission and vision as they relate to all Board activities and all Development events.
• Provide leadership and work closely with the Senior Director of the Women’s Board and Special Events, Women’s Board President, event chairs across all boards, event staff, board memberships to achieve special event fundraising.
• Manage planning and implementation of all Board fundraising events including, but not limited to:
o Opening Night Opera Ball
o Musical Spring Celebration
o Triennial Wine Auction
o Lyric Young Professionals Halloween Masquerade
o Ryan Opera Center Fundraiser
o Lyric Annual Meeting
• Serve as the volunteer liaison, working closely with board leadership to execute their vision while creating a meaningful philanthropic event for Lyric.
• Manage vendors, the production and design of print pieces, seating, reservations, sponsorship, and day-of logistics.
• In particular, coordinate detailed arrangements for all aspects of the triennial Wine Auction project, including solicitation of items, tracking of donations, maintaining inventory, coordinating shipments and fulfillment, print/online catalogue development and production, décor, and pre-/post-event activities, interim Wine Auction-related events, manage all Wine Auction committees, vendors, advisors, auctioneers.
• Plan and coordinate Board of Directors, Women’s Board member-only, and Lyric on the Move donor trips as needed. Manage all aspects. Attend as required.
• As the business evolves, so may this role. These duties may change as Lyric’s leadership identifies the need at any time.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years experience in Development or related field. Experience managing large scale ($1M+) events.
• 3+ years experience working directly with a volunteer board.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, concierge level customer-service, strong project-management and organizational competencies, and a demonstrated track record of relationship building are required.
• Working knowledge of and comfort working with:
o Microsoft suite of products
o CRM expertise (Tessitura strongly preferred)
• Ability to work and think independently and proactively, a motivated self-starter who also works well in a larger team.
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Ability and flexibility to oversee evening or weekend functions, deployments, or performances.
• Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, to handle other office equipment, and to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to oversee evening or weekend functions, deployments, or performances and work occasional nights and weekends to assist with department/company event needs; some out-of-state travel included.
