Full-Time Full Stack Engineer

OneValley is looking for a motivated Full-stack Engineer ready to play an integral role in our Product Team.

Key Responsibilities
This cross-functional role works closely with the team’s Product Managers and Designers. As part of a small agile team, you’ll be working alongside a team of engineers to rapidly prototype and implement functional features and UI/UX designs, striving for weekly updates. Our stack includes Velocity, NodeJS (Express), Groovy, and a Postgres database. Familiarity with these technologies is helpful, though not a requirement. There may be opportunities to explore and be exposed to skills adjacent to engineering, such as project management, hiring, feature definition with customers, and more. We are looking for an engineer who is excited to grow in a startup environment.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Interest in global startup innovation and working within cross-functional teams
- Strong communications skills – we move quickly and work to keep everyone informed on our progress daily
- Strong foundation of JavaScript fundamentals
- Strong foundation of HTML/CSS (media queries, templating languages, etc)
- Exposure to NodeJS and test-driven development
- Experience building single-page applications (SPA) with component-based frameworks like React or Vue preferred
- Ability to communicate with non-technical team members
- Current or recent college student or bootcamp grad
