We are looking for a talented Fuel Cell & Technology Planning Advisor to join our team specializing in New Power Business in Columbus, IN.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
• This dual product/life-cycle focused, developing leadership position provides the coordination and product leadership over one or more global product platforms that a business offers for customer product selection. Product Line Engineers are most often product domain specialists with significant experience both in product engineering and customer engineering-based positions with a good understanding both for how customer needs translate into technical product solutions and making decisions as a platform product expert. They work across functions partnering closely with product planning and management to align new and refreshed platform plans with market level plans as well as supporting customer teams in helping with product selection and issue management for all platform needs.
• Obtains input from stakeholders such as customer engineering, marketing product planning and management, program management, product and manufacturing engineering to deliver and maintain a capable platform plan that global customer teams select and configure in their Value Package Introduction/Value Package Change (VPI/VPC) business processes.
• Uses systems knowledge and product expertise to make decisions in the areas of platform architecture, risk trade-offs, platform market range capability engineering, technology integration, sub-system and component part standardization vs. proliferation, modularization, product line competitiveness for one or more product line(s) throughout the life cycle of the product platform.
• Applies, improves and partners both within and outside of the technical function in processes such as Synchronized Business Planning (SBP), Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Product Planning and Management, product architecting, competitive benchmarking and Value Package Introduction (VPI). Provides problem resolution leadership for complex systems with a high degree of ambiguity and often global business impact.
• Work with technical leadership to define the technology roadmap for fuel cells and electrolyzers.
• Provide technical input to the product planning process to help define component targets to drive competitive differentiation.
• Work with product teams to translate high level product targets into technical requirements that can drive technology development.
• Provide technical input into technology strategy development.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for engagement with external partners, customers, and suppliers on fuel cell and electrolyzer technical topics.
• Lead the evaluation of new technologies in the fuel cell and electrolyzer space.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Demonstrated success having worked in a Technical Specialist/Specialist Engineering role on lower complexity product development activities, translating customer needs and negotiating into product development plans, technical profiles and/or product specifications. Ideal candidates should have experience both in product and customer facing roles with a proven track record of successful product decisions.

• Advanced technical degree in relevant field (electrochemistry, etc.)

Columbus/Indianapolis – preferred; other US/Canada locations also considered
