Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented FSC Gage Lab Manager join our team specializing in Cummins Electronics and Fuel Systems for our Fuel Systems Business unit
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Provides complex metrology and calibration engineering support to customers and laboratory staff.
• Develops processes and systems in the application of the science of measurement
• Designs and develops measurement processes, methods, and procedures for calibration of inspection measurement and test equipment and testing of products and components.
• Performs complex Measurement Systems Analysis using the principles of traceability and analysis of accuracy and precision requirements.
• Employs statistics to analyze calibration and testing processes, interprets results, and suggestions solutions to problems.
• Provides technical training on calibration processes and procedures to technicians and less experienced engineers.
• Selects and manages specialized software used in the laboratory for calibration and testing off-line measurement data analysis, and control of automated calibrations and testing.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Be responsible for the overall functioning of the Gage Lab; that includes support to Plant Operations, Quality group and Gage Lab calibrations/maintenance
• Be responsible for coaching & mentoring DWU/OCU direct reports
• Be responsible for performance evaluation of the non-exempt staff
• Be responsible for adhering to the IATF/Quality Systems standards
• Be responsible for designing new/current gages as per Production needs and maintaining calibrations for the Gages in use
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
