Job Description:
Perkins Coie is seeking an exceptional and driven professional for the position of Firm Leadership Team Manager. This pivotal role will support the firm’s executive leadership by managing key processes and special projects, ensuring seamless execution in alignment with the firm’s goals. In coordination with the Senior Director of the Firm Leadership Team, the Manager will plan, organize, and execute both short-term and ongoing projects, and oversee the administrative support provided to the firm’s Managing Partner and governing bodies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. This position may be required to perform some or all of the duties below.
• Collaborate on Strategic Projects. Plan, organize, and execute both short-term and long-term projects, ensuring alignment with the firm’s goals and deploying leading practices.
• Support Executive Leadership. Serve as a vital member of the Managing Partner (MP) Support Team, providing backup to the Senior Director for executive meeting planning, attendance, and action item management.
• Drive Special Initiatives. Assist in the development and execution of special projects by conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports and presentations for firm leadership.
• Manage Workflow. Create and manage a tracking system for the Firm Leadership Team workflow, projects, action items, and deadlines.
• Policy Management. Manage the policy approval and update processes for the firm’s policy manual in coordination with the Senior Director and policy stakeholders.
• Develop Written Materials. Craft executive meeting agendas, board resolutions, presentations, and departmental communications.
• Coordinate Events. Work with the Senior Director to schedule, coordinate, and prepare content for firmwide events, including partnership meetings, leadership retreats, and town halls.
• Lead a Team. Oversee a small team of assistants, ensuring efficient support to senior executives and timely project completion.
• Build Relationships. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to the Senior Director and firm leadership.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex tasks and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional professional writing skills, with the ability to distill and condense large amounts of information into succinct communications.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize complex projects and multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to supervise, manage, and motivate team members.
SPECIFIC SKILLS PREFERRED
• Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Smartsheet, and Visio.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage departmental or project budgets.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services organization. A high-level board coordination or chief of staff experience is a plus.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, accrued paid time off plan starting at 20 days annually, personal medical and parental leave, up to 10 paid holidays, and family care benefits.
This position may be filled in the following location(s). The compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
Washington State compensation range: $105,670 to $163,480 annually
