Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an adaptable and proactive Finance Manager, to join us on a two-year fixed term contract. In this role you will take responsibility for overseeing the accounting activities within our operations in Bucharest, Romania.
We offer hybrid working on this position and anticipate that you will be onsite about 50% of the time. This may fluctuate inline with work and team requirements.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manage all accounting operations across our Romanian legal entity, with a focus on achieving, clean balance sheets, timely monthly closing, and a solid financial controls environment.
• Prepare regular management accounts and supporting analysis – reporting variances and monitoring corrective action.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by supporting internal and external accountants and clerks. Identify opportunities to implement process improvements and manage such projects.
• Manage and comply with tax legislation, preparing all returns for vat, draft corporation tax etc.
• Coach and develop a Financial Assistant who supports across all activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following
• Educated to degree level in a Finance and Accounting focused subject
• Solid knowledge of Romanian tax laws and financial governance
• Confident supporting more junior members of the team
• Fluent in both English and Romanian
• To be adaptable to change and committed to implementing process improvements to improve efficiency and compliance across the business.
