Job Description

British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.

Triathlon England is one of the three Home Nations of British Triathlon, the other two being TriathlonScotland and Welsh Triathlon.  The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of British Triathlon.

Not all Finance Manager roles are the same and this is certainly true here at British Triathlon.  We are a small/medium sized governing body with big ambitions and are offering a genuinely great career opportunity for a driven and forward thinking Finance Manager.  This is a very hands on role and you will not only broaden your skills working in this diverse role but you will benefit from working within a flexible and innovative organisation.

As the number one finance role, you will be responsible for ensuring the day to day running of the small finance department, maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records, leading the management of data entry and the production of the management accounts.  The role will be responsible for meeting strict deadlines, production of annual budgets and forecasts ensuring the integrity of British Triathlon’s financial reporting.  Working with the Director of Finance & Business Operations you will look to build on the financial systems already in place.

As the successful candidate, you will be a fully qualified accountant – whether you are looking to take the next step up or simply change to a more rewarding and dynamic role.  You will be able to quickly establish credibility with a range of stakeholders and have the aptitude to successfully lead a small team, review and revise processes and significantly, to provide budget holder/project support in the provision of financial modelling.
