Full-Time Field Service Power Generation Technician – 200002WO
Job Description
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction
* Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner. Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
* Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools
* Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor
* Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
* Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens
* Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
* Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
* Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* 2 + years of experience, power generator products, maintenance and repair
* Practical knowledge and experience, Diesel and Natural Gas Engines
* High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience
* Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
* Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
* Current relevant electrical certification or licensing ( preferred )
* Valid Drivers License is required
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications for different technician levels:
Technician Level I: Limited relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on a minimal number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics; requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
Technician Level III: Significant relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on most or all of products in-scope for technician at this location; frequently engaged in complex diagnosis and repair; requires minimal to no supervision; ability to effectively train and guide less experienced technicians of varying skillsets

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
