Full-Time Field Service Diesel Engine Technician – 200002Z1
Job Description
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Engine Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Sales and Service location in Boise, ID.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
· Diagnoses and completes repairs to engines at the customer’s site
· Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
· Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens
· Completes Cummins virtual and hands on training in line with skill and business requirements
· Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
· Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner, anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs
· Assist with diagnostics and repairs for inshop customers when needed
· Be flexible and complete additional duties as requested by supervisor
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
· MSHA and OSHA safety certifications a plus
· 2-4 years of hands on engine experience
· Must meet all requirements to drive a Company vehicle including a valid driver’s license and insurance, CDL a plus
· Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment as required and requires on call, after hours, night shift and overnight stays
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
