Located in NYC, we are looking for an Events Associate to join our rapidly growing team and company. We’re looking for someone passionate about creating change in the word of business; you’re right for the position if you’re a born event planner, problem-solver, a self-starter, organized and adaptable, and have strong communication skills. Experience in event planning is a must.

Influence, innovate, and provide creative input on Ellevate programming, from topic and speaker selection, to decoration and design
Full access to Ellevate network of resources, speakers, events, and content.

What to expect in this role:
Develop an exciting, innovative calendar of events, from start to finish
Ensure that our event content reflects our values and provides our community with actionable experiences
With our status as a B Corp in mind, ensure that our content is accessible and representative of all voices from our community
Be our go-to for speaker confirmation, event logistics, vendor management, and registration review
Rely on your stellar communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, via email, phone, and in-person.
Work with our volunteer chapters to help them deliver signature Ellevate events in local markets
Conduct site visits to source amazing venues
Manage a variety of shifting priorities and deadlines to execute multiple events across a tight timeline
Develop and stick to an events budget, and drive event profitability
Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong leadership, poise, and adaptability
Solid organizational skills, detail oriented
Patient and professional demeanor, positive attitude
Must be proactive, have a sense of urgency and excellent time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing environment and different tasks
Must be able to attend all Ellevate Network events, usually after-work on weekdays (typically one per week)
Prior event planning experience
Passionate about Ellevate’s mission and to helping professional women advance
