Would you like to provide excellent customer service to members and guests who call the YMCA? As an Engagement Representative, you will engage members and guests in a branch and over the phone in order to respond to needs and promote information on membership and programs. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of some work from home and some work at the office.

In this position you will be able to use your skills to:

  • Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
  • Present accurate membership information to potential and existing members. Explain the benefits of YMCA membership and its programs.
  • Demonstrate full competency with the Customer Relationship Management system to include proper enrollment, update, and cancellation processing and receiving membership, program, childcare, camp, and child watch payments.
  • Follow membership policies and guidelines. Process new memberships, update current memberships, and register members for programs and services, as needed.
  • Understand financial assistance process and accurately help to identify eligibility.
  • Provide a highly satisfying member experience and engage members in programs.

Are you a good fit?

  • You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • You have at least two years of experience in customer service, public relations, and organization.
  • You have excellent written and oral skills.
  • You are proficient in computer programs, including practical application of MS Office suite, including Teams, and Zoom.
  • You have a positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Able to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required.

Starting rate:  $14.49+ per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours: Part Time – Up to 25 hours per week
