NAVFAC NW is seeking a leader interested in developing and growing a team in support of critical defense facility and infrastructure design. CIVIL SERVICE POSITION – NO MILITARY COMMITMENT
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER GS-0850-13 – This position requires Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any US State or territory.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER GS-0850-12 – no license required
This position serves as an Electrical Engineer for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command NW region and member of the NW Core In-House Electrical Engineering and Design Team. The selectee will be responsible for evaluating technical issues during design and construction against a range of policy, codes, and industry standards and recommending courses of action to customers and NAVFAC NW Chief Engineer. Candidates should posses strong problem solving and change leadership skills and a desire to promote teamwork among an interdisciplinary workforce.

Yes—This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. NAVFAC NW is currently offering a diverse suite of work schedule capability as well as implementing up to 80% telework per pay period. Both work schedule and telework eligibility are subject to the command’s telework policy.
As a civilian employee of the Navy, you will serve within a multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering team. Projects typically include large, complex projects within the Pacific Northwest. Typical facility types include housing, community support facilities (dining facilities, clubs, fitness centers, child development centers), medical facilities, education/training facilities, maintenance shops, industrial facilities, hangars, administration buildings, operations buildings (command and control centers), and other shore installation facilities.
Salary/Incentives dependent on experience and qualifications.
Full range of available positions from $92,123 to $142,408.
