About the role

Our growing team is looking for an Edmonton based sales rep. 

As a part of the NLB sales team, you will play a key role in building our retail presence in Northern Alberta. 

Your responsibilities will be challenging and varied, and will include maintaining and developing relationships with our current clients, generating leads for new accounts, following a route/schedule, cold calling, making the occasional delivery, communicating with the Calgary team, inputting data into our CRM software, and participating in beer related events. 

You will work with NLB’s Director of Sales, Sales Manager and various on-premise and off premise accounts throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area. Occasional travel to Calgary and other communities around Alberta will be required.

As our first Edmonton based team member, this role is best suited to someone with the combination of experience, ambition, organizational skills and accountability to effectively work independently. This role will be compensated through a combination of base salary and commission incentive.

  • Generating Leads
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Fostering new relationships
  • Working events/tastings as needed
  • Meeting sales targets
  • Delivering product around the Edmonton area
  • Updating CRM software
  • Participating in sales team meetings
  • Cold calling
  • Acting as a brand ambassador and actively working to convert people to NLB Craft Beer
  • Presentation delivery and some public speaking
  • Processing Payments
  • Merchandising

To be successful in this position…

  • Experience in outside sales with a history of meeting sales targets
  • Have enthusiasm for Craft Beer and meeting new people
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Pro-serve certification
  • Must be able to lift the occasional keg 
  • Clean driver’s abstract and valid driver’s license
  • Have your own vehicle
  • Fluency in Korean or Punjabi is an asset
