Full-Time Donor Relations Manager

This position will play an integral role in developing and assisting with the execution of a formal moves management program to support the current work of Phoenix’s Executive Director and National Engagement Director. This person will also collaborate with regional leaders, local development staff, and the marketing team to develop targeted donor communications to maximize the organization’s current impact and future growth. It is Denver-based with some flexibility to work from home. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, outstanding reliability, and a talent for juggling numerous moving pieces. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Donor prospecting – leveraging a wealth engine and prospect research to build a portfolio of potential supporters for senior fundraisers
- Donor cultivation – planning and scheduling meetings on behalf of relationship holders and senior development staff
- Moves management – supporting senior fundraisers by designing and assisting with the execution of engagement plans that are tailored to each major donor, reviewing engagement plan progress monthly
- Donor communications management – manage a donor communications calendar draft
- Donor communications – create personalized donor communications, draft quarterly progress updates for major donors and annual donor reports, and develop cases of support for new opportunities
- Other development and administrative duties as assigned including Salesforce data entry and management and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of experience in project management or an executive assistant role
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent administrative skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity
- Excellent customer relations skills
PREFERENCES

- Familiarity with technology platforms including Salesforce, iWave, and Funraise
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising techniques, including individual donor cultivation and stewardship, communications, and marketing, with demonstrated ability to support others in soliciting major gifts
- Ability to capture Phoenix transformational stories in a way that inspires donors to support and invest in a movement of millions
- Ability to prioritize and pivot quickly
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, marketing, journalism, or related field
