DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a talented Director of Quality to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a global role and the candidate may work from other Cummins New Power locations in US or Europe.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Lead the quality improvement goals and objectives.

* Measure the continuous improvement progress and its effect on business results.

* Provides excellent leadership to global functional teams and cross-business units teams to drive improvements impacting key measures of the business.

* Lead the assessment of team members’ capabilities and skills; plans development opportunities to meet the needs of both the individual and the business.

* Lead implementation and management of Quality software systems.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.

* Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality function for a large global organization.

* Minimum five years of proven track record in leading global cross functional teams to produce significant, measurable results.

* Experience in the automotive and/or heavy-duty mobility manufacturing market required.

* Expert in Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, New Product Development Quality, Quality Systems implementation (ISO, COS, etc.), Operational Excellence, etc..

* Outstanding problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.

* ISO Auditor certification for 9001/14001/45001 preferred.

* PPAP execution, Lean/Six Sigma Implementation, TOC highly desired.
