Full-Time Director Manufacturing Engineering – Industry 4.0

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Director Manufacturing Engineering – Industry 4.0 to join our team specializing in Manufacturing. This role is based in Columbus, IN (remote or off-site options available).

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Leads the Cummins Global Industry 4.0 initiative to deliver the digital factory of the future at over 100 sites globally.

* Guides sites through assessment of their status and creates a roadmap toward becoming high performing I4.0 sites.

* Works with technical leaders to identify, standardize and deploy new digital manufacturing technology that delivers value in terms of quality, safety and cost improvement.

* Develops standards for assessing the value of industry 4.0 initiatives globally.

* Leads the development of I4.0 skills matrix and works with sites to fill skill gaps via employee training, development and recruiting.

* Communicates with and influences key stakeholders and business leaders.

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor’s degree required.

* Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing in a global organization with minimum five years in a leadership role.

* Subject matter expertise and experience in delivering value in Industry 4.0.

* Experience with innovative operational technology or smart manufacturing operations technology.

* Familiar with digital tools such as: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Smart Manufacturing, MES, Cloud Analytics, etc.

* Experience with data analysis, communication, and collection from various systems such as sensors, controllers, and industrial systems.

* Experience innovating by creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.

* Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
