The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing core digital properties including all technical aspects relating to content management, UI/UX, and SEO. This position serves on the Marketing and Communications team working closely with teammates and partners across our organization focusing on the Y’s strategic priorities of member experience, program and summer experience, staff experience, and philanthropy.
If hired for this position you will:
- Develop and implement robust strategies for website and mobile app lead generation and strong user engagement
- Identify and recommend new website and mobile app experiences to address user needs based on analytics, feedback, surveys, and competitive analysis
- Manage and maintain website content to ensure relevancy and timeliness
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Content Management System experience, preferably Drupal.
- 1-2 years of UI/UX and SEO experience.
- Ability to execute light HTML coding, understanding of CSS and JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis in integrated marketing, communication technology, digital media, or related field.
- Proven ability to be a collaborative, organized, communicative, innovative, creative, and self-directed team member who works well in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal, visual, and written communications skills.
- Preferred or interested in learning human-centered design.
- Proficient in the practical application of MS Office suite, including Teams and Zoom.
- Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Starting rate: $29.28+ per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
