To support our mission, we are seeking an innovative Digital Marketing Manager to join our Publications marketing team in Reston, VA. Our team utilizes all media to acquire and retain subscribers to our children’s publications and to convert them into life-long members of the National Wildlife Federation, devoted to helping wildlife thrive in a rapidly changing world.
The right candidate will have experience in all media and bring a passion for learning and achieving in an open, collaborative workplace. You will be a self-starter, able to work independently and within a team to accomplish multiple projects under budget and ahead of schedule. You will be responsible for managing the online marketing for National Wildlife Federation’s children’s publications including the implementation of circulation marketing strategy, tactics, scheduling, and coordinating the design process across multi-channel vendors.
In this role you will:
Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
Design, build and maintain our sponsored social media campaigns
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against budget and projections
Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
Create and track online marketing budget and track and reproject expenses
Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
Plan, execute, and measure acquisition and conversion tests
Collaborate with internal teams and outside vendors to create landing pages and order pages to optimize user experience
Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
Collaborate with our fulfillment partner, agencies and other vendor partners
Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
Qualifications:
BS degree in marketing or a related field
Proven work experience in digital marketing
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns
Experience in optimizing landing pages, order pages and user funnels
Experience with A/B testing
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
Experience in managing and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
Travel Requirements:
There may be some travel (approx. 5%) involved in this role.
