The Apps Sup Tech Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with many application leads to understand the needs of Infrastructure/services from DevOps front.
• Thorough knowledge of SDLC and code propagation.
• Collaborate with development, UAT, production Support and Infrastructure teams and manage deployment artifacts as it moves through entire deployment pipeline
• Knowledge of cloud, container services and docker/open shift implementations and architecture.
• Manage Big Data resource configuration and co-ordinate set up with Infrastructure support teams.
• Manage and develop continuous integration, build and deployment automation frameworks.
• Mentor and guide team to provide complete support to the development teams, and work with teams having global presence.
• Build setup configurations on WAS/TOMCAT and standalone Java application servers, understand Hadoop/big data infrastructure.
• Thorough understanding of application topology and software.
• Manage and administer different source control systems and branching schemes.
• Has very good troubleshooting and debugging skills, easily understand the logs and configurations and provide solution of the issues on all infra and configuration related activities.
• Open to feedback and constructive thought process. Recommend and execute improvements
• Easily mingle with team and has positive attitude towards work. Need to be involved in capacity planning and infra procurement with tech leads and infrastructure management teams.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Knowledge/Experience:

• Over 7 years of experience in SDLC, CI and CD tools, Configuration and Release Management, deployments and troubleshooting environments.
• Experience with Linux systems and  hands on shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux  and Java/J2EE and Big Data systems.
• Experience with Docker/OpenShift
• Experience with GIT and any Git Remote repository tool, Branching and  Merging strategies
• Strong experience in configuring WAS and TOMCAT application servers and setup.
• Strong experience with Maven, Shell Scripts and  Jenkins configuration.
• Knowledge of public cloud
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Service Now.
• Exposure to middleware, NAS and SFTP setups  and BigData cluster configurations.
• Knowledge on Docker implementation and containerization.
• Thorough knowledge on  DevOps processes  and deployment tools .
• Exposure in setting up TIBCO, NAS, SFTP.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• Think out of Box to create solutions

Skills:

• Unix, Shell Scripting
• Thorough knowledge of source code management, build and deployment tools
• Knowledge of Maven and Artifactory
• Good knowledge of Cloud, container services and Hadoop Infrastructure
• Trouble shooting skills to review configuration scripts, deployment logs, etc.
• Knowledge of Web server, Application server, Middleware and database architecture
• Good understanding of Entitlement & CMP process
• Other skills such as Microstrategy, Tableau and BIG DATA is a PLUS
