Full-Time Development Officer

UVHiring – Posted by UVHiring United States

Job Description

UltraViolet (UV) is hiring a Development Officer (DO) to actively contribute to the success of our fundraising plans across our 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC entities to advance feminist political and cultural change. The DO is responsible for participating in fundraising strategy and undergirding the integrity of the fundraising plans, owning grant management from prospecting to report submission, maintaining funder communications and relationships, and ensuring impeccable data and operations to support UV’s overall fundraising efforts.

About UltraViolet:

Since 2012, UltraViolet has been the premier national organization advocating for gender justice issues using creative, strategic campaigning and digital-first organizing. UltraViolet drives feminist cultural and political change by exposing the white supremacist patriarchy and creating the conditions for a more just and equitable world for all.

Together with our more than 1.2 million members, we have taken over 17 million actions driving feminist cultural and political change. UltraViolet members have taken down major misogynists from Bill O’Reilly and Harvey Weinstein to Roger Ailes and Rick Ross, led the fight nationwide to combat racist and sexist disinformation during the 2020 election, campaigned for justice for women of color murdered by law enforcement, forced TikTok to include deadnaming and misogyny in its hate speech policies, and more.

We work across a broad spectrum of interconnected issues that impact the lives of women, girls, and gender-expansive people, including gender-based violence, disinformation, health care, economic security, reproductive rights, and racial justice. In all of our work, we center frontline communities disparately impacted by sexist policies and practices, especially Black women, Indigenous women, women of color, people with disabilities, low-income women, immigrants, survivors, and LGBTQ+ people.

If fighting for a world beyond white supremacist patriarchy–a world where all people can thrive with freedom and dignity–ignites your passion, then UltraViolet is the organization for you!

Job description:

Are you an expert communicator with a high attention to detail, who can write and speak persuasively and passionately about feminist political and cultural change?

Are you excited by data-driven research, creating efficient and thoughtful systems and workflows, and the creative challenge of supporting a large and diverse portfolio of foundations and institutions?

Are you interested in being a part of a small, nimble fundraising team with ambitious goals, that prioritizes inclusivity, communication, shared responsibility, and impact?

If so, please read on!

Reporting to the Director of Development (DoD) and working closely with the Vice President of Organizational Advancement (VPOA) and the Executive Director (ED), the Development Officer is an active contributor to the success of the 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC fundraising plans.
