Full-Time Credit & A/R Analyst
Job Description
Owl Labs is seeking a Credit & A/R Analyst as we continue to grow our Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hyper growth start-up at an early stage. As the Credit & AR Analyst, you will confirm, investigate, analyze, and solve all transactions within accounts receivable, credit and collections. You will research and reconcile customer disputes, recover customer payments, and accurately record them in ERP. The ideal candidate enjoys rolling up their sleeves, jumping into the details, and being a team player in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and manage all data related to customer discounts, allowances and other deductions in NetSuite.
- Perform analysis of customer accounts based on the customer’s purchases, payment history, credit worthiness, credit limit exposure.
- Track and evaluate past due A/R accounts to reduce the risk of credit exposure.
- Evaluate credit worthiness of customer accounts and determine proper account order hold or releases.
- Conduct collection calls, provide customer service, and develop relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers.
- Negotiate customer disputes to resolution and documents root cause.
- Record journal entries and perform offsetting adjustments to ensure customer account balances are properly stated at month-end.
- Provide monthly and ad-hoc A/R reports and updates to management.
- Ensure adherence to company revenue policies and GAAP.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with credit and collections (with a manufacturing organization preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong forecasting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel especially) and proficiency with NetSuite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys working in an agile, fast-paced, rapidly evolving, startup environment. Ability to wear multiple hats.
- Energetic can-do attitude. Collaboration is exciting to you and you enjoy understanding the perspectives of others.
- Independent, self-starter – able to set agenda and drive progress with little direction.
- Superior organization & attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple perspectives to get the most important thing done.
Owl Labs is over 40% remote and headquarters are based in Boston, MA. This role can be either an on-site or remote position. Please specify in your application. Our team is currently working 100% remote due to COVID-19.
