Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Chemical Systems Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Emission Solutions Business Unit in Columbus, Indiana/your remote home office. This position will be mostly remote with periodic travel to our Columbus, Indiana site.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Lead catalyst technology selection, sizing, and characterization activities for TI/VPI programs
• Interface with system teams and EBU/PSBU teams to define requirements and translate them to component level
• Interact with all major catalyst suppliers for technology development and selection
• Partner with performance and integration teams for flawless program delivery
• Work on multiple different catalyst technologies like DOC, DPF, SCR,ASC, TWC, OC
• Work with R&T functions for next gen catalyst technology development. Support current product issues and VPCR
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelors, Masters or PHD in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemical preferred.
• Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
• Prior experience in working with after treatment systems a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
