Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Senior Controls Engineer to join our team! This role is located in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develops all aspects of control systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Develops and designs control systems; develops and implements bench tests; alters software and equipment to ensure that sensors and actuators are functioning according to specifications; supports and debugs complex problems and change requests.
• Prepares cost estimates; compiles required cost and equipment information and writes and reviews appropriation requests.
• Investigates problems and requirements of projects, and develops plans for solutions in line with economic, personnel, and environmental considerations.
• May be responsible for the installation and technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based hardware and software.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced Controls Engineers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of Engineering experience required.
• NEC & NFPA70E: is required.
• IT & Network knowledge is required. VM experience is a plus.
• Database: read, write, and troubleshoot SQL and MS Access a plus
• Programming Languages: Structured text and PLC is required. MS.net and # and macro’s a plus.
• Schedule flexibility is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
