The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented individual to join our legal department as Compliance & Contracts Manager. You will be part of a fast-moving, collaborative team that impacts all aspects of Ask Media Group. This position will work closely with product, sales and marketing to provide comprehensive legal support to a wide range of topics with respect to online properties and review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts. You will also play an instrumental role in corporate housekeeping and legal recordkeeping. You will be a driving force behind the success of the Legal & Compliance Team, ready to roll up your sleeves and work collaboratively across the Company to juggle deadlines, manage simultaneous projects on a variety of legal matters and jump in wherever needed to help your team. You will use specialized legal knowledge and have a bias toward action, getting things done which will influence some of the most defining milestones for the Company. All of this will require you to work collaboratively in a highly motivated, dynamic environment with external and internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, DPAs, Orders, SOWs, amendments, advertising, consulting, and various vendor services agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact for the Legal Department with the other departments.
- Contribute to the development of legal policies and procedures.
- Manage special projects relating to corporate policy and compliance matters.
- Provide support to the entire legal team on team-wide objectives and completion of OKRs.
- Review marketing collateral to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Support and manage the development and implementation of privacy compliance programs.
- Train teams with respect to legal and compliance requirements.
- Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, advertising, IP and privacy laws.
- Define risks related to contract documentation and relationships, and be able to communicate those risks to appropriate decision makers for discussion and resolution.
- Partner with business teams to address compliance, corporate compliance, and risk focus areas.
- Draft audience-appropriate communications in order to interact with all facets of the organization.
About Your Legal Experience:
- BA/BS from an accredited school with excellent academic credentials required.
- CIPP certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in contract management and negotiation or experience that relates to the drafting and negotiation of agreements.
- Background in online advertising, copyright, trademark, privacy law, including the drafting and negotiating commercial transactions.
- Implementing privacy compliance programs.
- Law firm and in-house experience preferred.

Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $130,000 USD annually. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Ask Media Group’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual bonuses, and short and long-term incentives.
