Job Description

Walk the Plank seeks a Company Administrator to hold an essential role at the centre of day-to-day operations of Walk the Plank. 

This is for someone who can be the administrative glue at the heart of a busy and thriving cultural organisation, working closely with the Executive Director to take care of people, place, systems and processes.

Salary:£27,000-29,500 (Pro Rata)

Hours: This is a 4 day / 32 hours per week role

Contract: Permanent – 4 days a week

Line Manager: Executive Director

This is an exciting time for the new Company Administrator to join Walk the Plank, one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations for 2023-26, and winner of several recent awards including: National Outdoor Events Association – ’Sustainability’, Access All Areas – ‘Best Operations’, Event Production Show – ‘Best Use of Tech’, Global Web Excellence – ‘Accessibility’ and ‘Cultural’, Salford Business Awards ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Best Small Business’

Work Pattern: Normal office hours are Monday to Friday, between 8 and 6. This person will be based at our offices in Salford but may from time to time be required to support the team at events and will need a flexible approach to working outside normal hours.

Holiday/TOIL/Leave: Includes 24 paid holiday days (Pro-Rata) plus 8 Bank Holidays, Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) as per company policy and statutory sick pay entitlement.

Office and Home Working: We believe that sharing a space on a regular basis, interacting across the different parts of the company, and picking up on new threads and conversations together helps us to deliver great work and is an important and worthwhile part of our company culture. For that reason, we encourage office working as the norm. However, we will of course support flexible working and working from home where it is beneficial or necessary for the employee or company.
