Part-Time Community Manager
Job Description
Job Title: Community Manager | Lesbian Wedding Destination
Location: Remote Type: Part-time/Contract Reports To: Founder
About The Platform
This platform is more than just a wedding site; we are a movement celebrating the beauty, style, and love of lesbian marriages. In an industry often dominated by heteronormative traditions, we exist to give women loving women a place to shine. We curate swoon-worthy inspiration, highlight inclusive vendors, and foster a safe, joyful digital space for couples to plan the day of their dreams. On this platform, we define lesbianism as being inclusive of our transgender and non-binary friends.
The Role
We are looking for a Community Manager who is passionate about lesbian representation and has an eye for wedding aesthetics. You will be the heart, voice, and pulse of the platform. You don’t have to be married, but you have to love all things weddings!
You won’t just be managing comments; you will be building relationships. You will be the hype-person for newly engaged couples, the trend-spotter to make our content resonate, and the moderator to ensure our space remains a haven of positivity. We need a storyteller who understands the nuances of lesbian culture and can translate that into engaging content and meaningful conversation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement & Support

Be the Voice: Act as the primary point of contact across owned and social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Discord).
-
Foster Connection: Spark conversations, reply to the community with empathy and wit, and celebrate our followers’ milestones.
-
Safe Space Moderation: Proactively moderate comments to ensure our platforms remain safe, inclusive, and free of hate.
-
Vendor Liaison: engage with our network of inclusive vendors to ensure they feel connected to the community.
2. Content Curation & Social Media
-
Real Weddings: Manage the submission process for “Real Weddings” features and communicate with the premium couples and vendors to gather their stories.
-
Trend Spotting: Stay ahead of wedding trends and lesbian pop culture to create timely, relevant content (Reels, TikToks, Stories).
-
Copywriting: Write captions and newsletter blurbs that are inclusive, engaging, and tonally perfect for the brand.
3. Growth & Strategy
-
Feedback Loop: Listen to the community’s needs and feedback, reporting insights back to the leadership team to help shape future content and features.
-
Brand Ambassadorship: Identify and build relationships with influencers and active community members to act as brand advocates.
-
Analytics: Track engagement metrics to understand what content resonates most with our audience.
Who You Are
-
A Champion of Love: You have a deep understanding of the lesbian experience. You know the slang, the struggles, and the joys.
-
A Social Media Native: You don’t just use Instagram and TikTok; you understand the algorithms, the editing tools, and how to create viral-worthy content.
-
Empathetic & Resilient: You can handle sensitive topics with grace and have a thick skin when it comes to moderation.
-
Aesthetically Driven: You have a good eye for photography and design (weddings are visual, after all!).
-
Detail-Oriented: You can manage multiple conversations and content calendars without dropping the ball.
-
