Contract: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 19 hours per week
Days/times: Wednesday, Thursday (full days) and Saturday mornings (half day)
Salary: £18,817.5 (FTE), pro rata (£9.65 per hour)
Details:
We are looking for a Community Gardener to join our team at Windmill Hill City Farm, an amazing community organisation based in the heart of Bristol. Our gardens produce food and flowers for our café, provide a green space for the community, host educational and therapeutic groups, and are looked after by our teams of staff and volunteers.
You will work with volunteers to look after all areas of the gardens, including cut flower growing, food growing, propagation spaces, general garden maintenance. Work on our site is varied and involves working with a wide range of people in our local community.
We are interested to work with someone who has an interest in growing plants for sale or growing cut flowers as we intend to develop these areas of the gardens over the next season to generate income. A keen enthusiasm for getting stuck into lots of different gardening will be a very important skill!
A successful candidate will have experience of working with plants, people, and bucket loads of enthusiasm for all things community gardening.

Interview dates: Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th December 2021
Preferred start date: 10th Jan 2022 (attendance at Garden team meeting on 21st December 2021 would be helpful for the successful candidate, but not essential)
