DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Communications Director to join our team specializing in marketing and communications supporting Cummins Sales & Service – North America headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. This role has an opportunity to be remote.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develops and implements an overall communication and marketing strategy with plans, tools, and publications for Cummins Sales & Service – North America (CSSNA) for both internal and external audiences.
• Organizational development – develops, manages, coaches and mentors’ direct reports and optimize the structure of the team.
• Leads changes to communications processes including strategy and messaging.
• Stakeholder relationship management – foster and maintain active partnerships with senior leaders and key partners (e.g., media relations, social media) to drive the development and ongoing management of marcom plans and strategies. Simplifies complex messages across multiple stakeholders.
• Builds, leads, executes strategic communications planning and tactical execution (marketing promotional/communications planning).
• Writes, edits and creates content and strategic messaging and adheres to relevant style guide.
• Implement a robust digital strategy across the region in External and Internal comms.
• Represents, adheres to, and champions Cummins brand.
• Sets targets for data-driven decisions, analyzes, and utilizes metrics, data, and analytics.
• Innovates and lead continuous improvement, identify and solve unique and complex problems across the function.
• Create and deliver best-in-class MarCom to drive alignment around business objectives, deepen awareness and engagement, and enrich experiences where all people who experience Cummins feels valued, respected and a strong sense of belonging.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Digital experience in emerging trends, digital for business, metrics, paid v organic, advertising content.
• B2B experience, global perspective (multi-layered, multi-channel, multi-revenue stream) and client/account management
• Balanced experience with stakeholder/leader communication, brand marketing, corporate communications focusing on internal and external audiences.
• A solid understanding of budget ownership, experience in annual operational planning and forecasting
• Intuitive listening and adapting solutions – translates needs, expectations, or asks from customers, stakeholders, etc. into actionable solutions through active listening and intuition; chooses or produces solutions (e.g. process change, tool, product, service, etc.) to meet or exceed the customers’ or stakeholders’ needs or expectations or to provide value.
• Organizational savvy – maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
• Decision quality – making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Education/Experience
• College, university, or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
• MBA, Master’s in Communications, Master’s in Marketing, or equivalent degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
