Job Description
Role: Commercial and Contracts Project Manager
Contract Length: 6 months initially, with the possibility of a permanent position going forwards
Location: Whitchurch, North Cardiff, and the candidate will be required to work on site 5 days/week for the first month and 3 days/week for the remainder of the contract.

Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £208.72 per day
Spinwell is recruiting for a Commercial and Contracts Project Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL AND CONTRACTS PROJECT MANAGER
The Commercial and Contracts Project Manager will be the project manager for the Commercial Activity Group.
The Commercial and Contracts Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the management of the Project Agreement and its range of obligations, providing regular monitoring information. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing the individual procurements and contracts which are integral to the delivery of a new Cancer Centre.
The Commercial and Contracts Project Manager will also be responsible for refining and improving project management documentation and processes, and ensuring they are best utilised and updated in a timely manner.
The successful applicant will need to establish credibility with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and have the required strategic, planning and performance skills to support the delivery of the Projects.
The post holder will be directly responsible to the Assistant Project Director. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering successful projects and a complex environment.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMERCIAL AND CONTRACTS PROJECT MANAGER
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Specialist project knowledge to post graduate level or equivalent experience (PRINCE 2 practitioner or relevant experience).
- Previous experience of procurement projects
- Previous experience of planning and managing projects with successful delivery within time and cost
- Knowledge of national NHS wide guidance and directives for the delivery of health services
- Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating, managing and developing project teams
- Proven track record of successfully introducing service improvement and management of significant organisational change in a complex environment
- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects e.g. PRINCE2
- Thorough understanding of full project lifecycle
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Managing multiple concurrent
