To support the fulfilment of this vision, MODC is seeking a Chief Financial Officer & Vice President, Finance.

 

In a dual reporting relationship to the COO and the President & CEO, the CFO is responsible for all financial matters including enterprise-wide Risk & Compliance.  The CFO provides strategic leadership ensuring the overall financial health and sustainability of the organization across its full continuum of services. MODC has adopted cost center and activity-based accounting methodologies and within this model, it runs programs nationally and has complex funding sources. A key priority will focus on ensuring strategic alignment of organizational policies, programs, tools, and systems to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of the organization. The CFO will partner and engage with, the executive leadership team (ELT), the Board. and the Finance & Audit and Risk Committees to develop and implement financial strategies across the organization.

 

Building on an appreciation for the mission and work of this important national charity, you will be a champion for continuous improvement and modernization. The ideal candidate for this role brings both exceptional leadership qualities and deep financial experience. Having worked in a complex large non-profit organization, you understand risk management and provide excellent guidance, analysis, and recommendations on a broad range of financial and strategic issues. You support and nurture staff and can build a high performing team. Knowledge of computer systems applications used in finance and accounting is required. With an undergraduate degree combined with a CPA designation, you are respected for your sound judgment and known for fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
