Business Development Representative
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage a portfolio of assigned top target accounts in the U.S. market to generate new business opportunities and contribute to overall pipeline growth for Fluent Commerce solutions.
- Craft compelling outreach messaging tailored to senior decision-makers, aiming to spark meaningful conversations around how Fluent Commerce can solve key operational challenges and deliver measurable business value.
- Stay informed on current retail, logistics, and commerce technology trends, as well as broader U.S. market dynamics that influence buying behavior and investment priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the U.S. Sales, Marketing, and Solutions teams to align outbound efforts with strategic go-to-market initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, understanding their unique challenges and identifying ways Fluent Commerce can support their goals.
- Qualify opportunities by assessing project scope, budget availability, timelines, pain points, and key stakeholders before handing off to the appropriate Account Executive.
- Utilize multiple outreach strategies, including cold calling, LinkedIn engagement, personalized email, and social selling, to drive top-of-funnel activity.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Retail, eCommerce annd Order Management solutions.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably in a B2C environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with prospects over the phone and via email.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software ( Salesforce,) and other sales tools used for prospecting, lead management, and pipeline tracking.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
