Broking Operations Analyst
We are continuing to build a brand-new Broking Operations team, based in Canada!
This team is tasked with providing administrative services to Brokers, while defining Broking processes and managing quality assurance with onshore and offshore support teams. In order to transition smoothly to our new Broking Operations model, we need project management support!
Note: A PMP designation is not required to be successful in this role but would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of a detailed project plan – scope, schedule, objectives and work plan involving all relevant parties
- Predict internal and external resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Provide project updates and detailed reports for executive staff on a consistent basis to various collaborators about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Apply best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
- Collaborating with leadership and communications to support organizational change
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate perceived issues to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks, making adjustments as required to achieve objectives
- Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
Qualifications for Project Manager
- Educational background in the fields of financial services, insurance, brokerage or risk management preferred
- Excellent analytical skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong digital literacy, expertise with MS Office is desired
- Experience with project management of offshoring administrative tasks
- 5+ years of project management and related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the life cycle and complete projects according to outlined scope and timeline
- Strong interpersonal skills and very resourceful
